First Ever Jan Sunwai Sammelan Held

Itanagar, 9 June : The Jan Sunwai Sammelan organised by the District Administration Capital Complex to facilitate services to the citizens under the Scheme Government at your doorstep (Sarkar Aapke Duar) was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu amidst the presence of the Chief Secretary Shri Satya Gopal and a host of other dignitaries at Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall Itanagar today.

The presence of the HCM gave a moral boost to all the participating departments as the HCM visited every counter and interacted with the team members. He enquired about various services provided and also handed out important documents like digitally generated ST/PRC, LPC to the already approved cases, marriage certificate etc to the public. The HCM also felicitated the toppers of class X and XII( All streams) with certificates and cash awards. He also handed over PPA( Payment Payment Advice) for transferring relief amount to the victims of damage caused by the recent storms in the Capital Complex to the Branch Manager, Yes Bank.

At the counter of the Food and Civil Supply department, the HCM handed over PHH ration cards meant for Puroik community and new LPG connection certificates and accessories under PMUY meant for women BPL head of family.

Jan Sunwai Sammelan is an initiative of the State Government which was passed in the Budget 2018-19 wherein every Deputy Commissioner was directed to conduct the event on the 1st of every month in their respective districts with an aim to resolve public grievances on the spot. As the main objective of the JSS is service delivery of the Government to the citizens, the event was a huge success as participation of huge number of people from every walks of life was witnessed.
The other services provided during the programme were forms for new electrical connection, water connection, AADHAAR enrolment, e- ILP, employment certificate trading license, renewal of arm license, distribution of items under Ujala scheme, new account opening, passport verification and various schemes such as Old Age pension, Jeevan Seaman, PMMVY, Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum(UAM) registration, PMEGP, etc. The citizens were also given awareness on consumer rights and duties, Disaster Management, sanitation, Legal Awareness etc
The Department of Health registered 377 total beneficiaries thereby providing various services like screening of Diabetes ,Hypertension under NCD by free check up of Blood sugar , BP ,BMI, Toxin Analysis. Malaria Blood test etc.The Department also facilitated immunisation,free distribution of ORS, Albendazole Tablets ,condoms, IEC materials, awareness on prevention of Malaria etc and important schemes like DULARI KANYA.

The event also saw active participation from all the major banks including SBI, PNB, Yes Bank, AP Co-op Apex Bank, Lead Bank wherein SBI collected 132 nos. of Govt. Challan for Rs. 215023/- and Bank account opened by SBI CSP: 55 nos.
The Itanagar Municipal Council generated Revenue to the tune of Rs. 72000/- in Trading license and Rs. 1900/- in Birth certificate.

Naharlagun power Department also facilitated
47 nos of post paid connection and 68 nos of prepaid connection along with
giving away New Service connection form free of cost to the consumer.

Services were given by over 22 Departments under one roof making it truly Sarkar Aapke Dwaar

The Deputy Commissioner Shri Prince Dhawan informed that the next JSS would be held at Banderdewa in the month of July. He has appealed the citizens to participate in the next JSS and avail facilities through such events which have been specifically organised for the public. (DIPRO)
